Reader's Workshop:  Continue with War With Grandpa and respect theme. Finish up last Tomie dePaola book Why?  This week we will also work with 11th graders Issac and Erin on a 'Reader's Theater' production for the '5th Street Ministry' visit on Thursday!

Writer's Workshop: Work on pop-up Holiday book!  This week we will research and write about Great Britian and Sweden.  We will also present our final book to the Third Graders!  This week we will travel to Charlotte to see the presentation 'Tis the Season' which has a holiday's around the world focus.

Spelling:  No spelling this week, we will have 2 field trips and several special presentations/programs.

Social Studies:  Continue "Holidays Around the World" by looking at several different countries and how

they celebrate the holidays.  We will tie this unit in with our study of Mr. dePaola's autobiographical series highlighting 

a few of the countries involved in World War II.   

Homework:  Read at least 15-20 minutes each night
