Holidays Around the World

Spelling:  Pre-assessment, skills work and Fix-it exercises 

Social Studies:  Introduce "Holidays Around the World" by looking at several different European countries and how

they celebrate the holidays.  We will tie this unit in with our study of Mr. dePaola's autobiographical series highlighting 

a few of the countries involved in World War II.  This first week we will focus on Germany (part of the Axis)  and Great

Britian (part of the Allies).

Homework:  Read at least 15-20 minutes each night
