Wednesday - Begin our project on racism, prejudice and discrimination around the world.
Friday - Leela Wissmann talks to us about prejudice and injustice in India. She will describe the old Caste System and how they have grown past those ideas.
Jan. 14-18
Monday - Proverbs - Matching up proverbs from other countries to similar sayings in the US. How people come up with the same ideas even though they live far away.
Wednesday - Potato activity about grouping people together into certain stereotypes.
Friday - First Impressions activity.
Jan. 7-11
Monday - Similarities and differences. Changes Poem.
Wednesday - Separation and segregation activities.
Friday- Stereotypes and Prejudice worksheet.
Jan. 3-4
Thursday - Examine holiday traditions and rituals and how they create community. How do these traditions differ based on our heritage, faith, family, etc.?
