Seventh Grade Overview
Big Question: What does it mean to be human?
Culminating Project: The Power of One: Action and Awareness
What does it mean to be human? Throughout the year, in all subject areas, students investigate this question. They look at the varied histories, cultures, geography and current issues in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East through the perspectives of the people. They examine the role of the individual in shaping world history and our future. What is the power of one? How can we use our power as individuals to make a difference? In partners, students design and implement an action and awareness plan dealing with a particular issue facing humans today.
