HOMEWORK: Read "The Fall of the House of Usher" (link above). Be thinking about what qualities the story has that could be categorized as gothic as well as what similarities (or differences) you see in comparison to the Hawthorne short story "The Minister's Black Veil."  Also, please make sure you have a copy of the story tomorrow (electronically or printed out) for discussion.
