11th Grade Anatomy and Physiology

Anatomy and physiology will be an application class to the studies from biology and chemistry. At the end of the course students will be able to name the various organs and parts of the body as well as explain the functions of each of the organ system. Initially, students will start studying at very small level (namely atoms and chemicals), grow to analysis of the cells and tissues and then will focus on each organ system. The organ systems studied will include the following: Integumentary System, Skeletal System, Muscular System, Nervous System, Special Senses, Endocrine System, Cardiovascular System, Lymphatic System, Respiratory System, Digestive System, Urinary System and the Reproductive System. The class will also focus on cancer and illnesses.
