Homework: See you at the McColl Center Thursday evening. Remember to write a 1/2 page reflection on the exhibition, Phantasmagoria, for extra credit. In your reflection, you should write about your overall impression of the exhibition, your favorite piece, and an idea of how you could create an interactive artwork.

His collection of work creates an impressive map of a life shaped by immigration, poverty, institutionalization, and art. We will begin our first art portfolio piece, a 2-D map of what shapes your life, focusing on drawing skills using pencil, crayon, colored pencil, pen and/or watercolor.

1. Post information for timeline project to your wiki. Mr. Bowman will demonstrate this in class on Friday. This needs to be posted by the end of the day, Tuesday, November 20th.
On the first page of this site you will need to include basic facts:
Location and when it was created (you may add a small photo at a later time)

On your linked page, include a photo (photos need to be under 500k. Mr. Bowman will help you with this if needed)

In Class: Throughout the fall trimester, we will continue to investigate the relationship between art and nature. Through your photography and writing you have investigated and recorded the environment as it exists. Now we will look at art that responds to and is influenced by its setting or environment.
What are different ways that artists have used the landscape throughout history to contemporary times?
We will look at examples of this and each student will be assigned a landscape artwork to research and summarize. This will become a piece of your History website.
You need to include the following:

First we will discuss how to best present this type of information on your website and we will decide on a format to follow. You will present your findings on your website and to the class. We will discuss the following questions:
