Back to School Boot Camp

Back by popular demand…our Back to School Boot Camp for Lower School students!  It is a great opportunity for your child to get back into the swing of things just before school begins!  Students will spend time learning outdoors to make the most of the last few weeks of summer, while preparing for the new school year with some fun back to school activities.  We spend the week focusing on engaging activities in Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Art, and Life Sports games.   Students will present their creations at the end of the week!

United Performance Volleyball Clinic

Dates:  July 20 & July 21

Time:  9am - 4pm

Price:  $100 - includes top quality instruction and a t-shirt

Location:  Red Barn at Woodlawn

Please bring your own lunch and drinks.  Registration forms are available at the United Performance Volleyball website.

We are pleased to offer a variety of camps at Woodlawn this summer!  Email the school to sign up - be sure to indicate the specific camp, name of your child, and grade level in 2009-2010.  All payments should be made to Woodlawn School. You can send in payment or bring it on the first day of camp.  Deadline to sign up:  June 26. 

Logan Kosmalski Basketball Clinic – July 13 through July 17th

Woodlawn School is proud to offer a week long basketball clinic for middle and upper school boys the week of July 13.  This clinic, led by professional basketball player and former Davidson star Logan Kosmalski, will be held Monday through Friday from 2:00 – 4:30 pm in the Red Barn.   The charge for the clinic is $125 per student for the week. 

Logan Kosmalski is a graduate of Davidson College and a former Wildcats basketball player. After two years at Baylor University in Texas, Logan transferred to Davidson and became a two-year starter and an All Conference player.  Since graduating in 2005, Logan has been playing professionally in France, Poland, and Germany and also enjoyed a short stint as a basketball analyst for the Davidson Wildcats radio network. 

"Our week-long clinic will be designed to improve all aspects of your basketball development.  While it will take time to make you a more explosive athlete and improve your footwork, the clinic will emphasize fundamentals like ball-handling, shooting, and passing.  We will enjoy a combination of instructional lessons as well as competitive drills and games.  I've been lucky enough to play for some of the best coaches in the world and I look forward to passing along everything that I've learned."  -Logan Kosmalski

Upper School Spanish Camp

Grades:  Rising 9th- 12th graders

Dates: July 6-July17 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Time: 9am-12pm

Price: $40 per individual session or $180 for all 6 sessions

Do you feel a little left behind in Spanish and would like to catch up?  We'll take an intense look at all the grammar concepts from nouns to the subjunctive to help you feel more prepared for the upcoming year.  Contact Mr. Burton if you have questions.
