Life Skills teaches students in first grade to deal with daily issues such as who am I, how am I different, and what makes me special?  Students also explore different feelings that they have each day and most importantly, how to deal with them.  Students begin to understand the role that they play in their classroom and with their classmates and they examine the consequences of their behavior.  First graders will discuss tattling vs. telling, coming in last rather than first, and how manners matter where ever you are!  Students first grade also learn about life's lessons through the literature we read, role play, and weekly activities.
