First Grade Service Learning

Instructor: Ms. Hoskins

First graders become contributing members of the community through service. They learn the importance of being compassionate, responsible individuals while caring for pets. They take a variety of service learning trips into the community to learn about proper care of pets. Students visit a local veterinarian to understand how important a veterinarian's job is in keeping pets healthy and helping those who become sick. First graders get to meet pets that perform a service to the community as well.
