Curriculum Map
The first grade art curriculum reinforces basic art concepts, as well as, creative problem solving and collaborating skills. Art projects in first grade help develop sensory and fine motor skills. The students also develop and build upon their creative voice as it applies to visual arts. We explore a variety of art techniques such as drawing, three dimensional artwork, ceramics, collage, mixed media, printmaking, painting, fiber, and art appreciation.
