Art Contests and Events

Peace Poster Contest: Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This Contest encourages young people worldwide to artistically express their visions of peace. The 6th grade students participated in this contest this year.  See their poster in the Art Gallery above.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

If you are interested in submitting work to this contest, please see Ms. Lysne.  You will need to able to work on pieces for submission on your own with critique and guidance provided during after school or during work time.

Art Exhibitions

The following are art exhibitions that are currently on display in the area or will be in the future.  We will be viewing several of these exhibitions as a class (as noted below), but students are also encouraged to view these exhibitions with their families.  I have provided links to the museums and galleries so you may learn more about the art and artists before you go.
