Remembering September 11, 2001 Activity for Social Studies:

Tonight ( 9/10/13), please take time to interview a parent or other adult about their recollections of the events that took place on September 11, 2001.  You do not have to write anything down, just listen. Be sure to thank the adult you speak with for sharing their thoughts and memories about September 11, 2001.   We will discuss our findings in Social Studies class tomorrow (9/11/13).  Below are some suggestions for the type of questions to ask in your discussion:
On September 11, 2001, how did you learn about the what was happening?
What were you doing at the time and what were your first reactions?
What was the rest of that day like for you?
What feelings did you have?

What do you want to say about September 11, after all these years?
